To what I believe in.

For as long as I can remember, I am a curious child and it have always been my priority to find out about everything and understand the mechanism in them. Having parents that didn't have much time for me, I am used to searching for answers by myself through many means. I'm not accustomed to being mouth-fed the answers to my curiosity (which explains my lack of tolerance for irrelevant, stupid questions asked to me) so I think a lot. I've made mistakes along the way but through that mistakes I learn why and how.

So lets go to the biggest question of all, the creation of the universe. Who created the universe? And how? And how does the universe work? I am forever grateful to have been born as a Muslim because all my questions were answered by God through His way. Many muslims just take things for granted and accept what's what and live with it. Not me, I'm a really curious child and I question everything that is presented to me. Needless to say I question my own faith as I was born with it and cannot view other faiths as other believers see them.

I have spent about three years discovering about Islam, and other faiths, and the relations of them all. For many faiths I have found questions that was said not to be pried upon, as God knows best, yet in Islam, all questions are answered and explained as His way is always the best. Lets go with the existence of God, the existence of God is proven by creation itself. To view it in a smaller perspective, imagine the game Assassin's Creed. The game was well made, yes? Yet as you play it you may see and experience some glitches and difficulties in manoeuvring this fabricated virtual world. And that world was made by many programmers, for many months, years even, and by the people of the highest qualifications, yet it still have its flaws. Now see our world, see how many people are living right now, respiratory system working perfectly and eyes blinking subconsciously. See the flowers bloom to life and rivers forever flowing. Creation itself is perfect while our artificial one have its flaws and you think it just existed out of thin air? You may counter this with the fact that there are people born with deficiencies and suffers asthma, yet even their deficiencies are explained through science and biology. Everything happens for a reason, and the Almighty made it happens.

So second question, why Islam? There are many faiths that believe in God. Why Islam is because Islam is perfect. The Al-Quran, ever since its existence can still be used and its rules are still usable in modern days despite it being existed hundreds of years before us. There are no contradictions in the rules and it has drafted how a human should live a life. It did not restrain people from living their life, it guide us and lead us to live the best of life for the world and beyond. Islam never ask people to be violent, terrorists, or only focus on what lies after death, it gives guidance for the best of life, and what lies after it. How people follow this guide will determine how will he or she live and die.

I shall not disturb people with other believes as Islam ask us to respect each other, and respect what they believe in. But it is also my duty to share what I believe in, and hope and pray that they will also join me and follow the guide. Amin ya Rabbal Alamin.

The Value of Songs

First of all, I do apologize for the previous post if it confused everyone. It was written to mirror what I've experienced in life so do understand why not everyone get the whole story *grins widely* I somehow hope that a miracle can happen and the person read it and understand it though but I guess there's no use in hanging on a thin thread of hope.

Aaaaaanyways, as I'm writing this, I'm listening to Worth It by Sam Tsui (great dude, awesome voice) and absorbing the lyrics while feeling the meaning of it. There's this one thing though, listening songs and doing other things that require focus never work well for me. I can do it, of course, but my concentration will be quite lower than what I can do at my optimum state so for things like writing this for example, I prefer silence for me to concentrate all that I can and not end up with a really messed up post heh. In my defence for listening to Sam Tsui, the song just ended, and I always listen to songs before writing as it puts me in mood.

Do listen to this though, it's fantastic.

Now back to topic. Music. It's a really curious thing isn't it? For the human mind finds melody as a manipulator to our moods, whenever we put it in our head and goes along with the tune. For people with trouble feeling emotions through normal everyday life like me, I find music as the closest alternative to how to feel in certain situations.

In a tune of songs, there are quite a number of things that should be noted concerning how it control our mind and manipulates it so. The most crucial thing of them all is of course, the tune itself. How is it composed, through the musical instruments that produce such beautiful sound, mixing together harmoniously, producing a sequence of notes that gets into your mind, changing your brainwave to the tune to whatever it is it want to express. The catchy-ness of a song depends mostly on the tune itself as the number one priority. How else did you think such weird songs like Oppa Gangnam Style and (God help me) The Fox had caught people's attention.

Yes, The Fox

But supporting that catchy tune is the content of the song itself. Many people suggest that lyrics play the main importance in a song but the existence of dubstep and such lyric-less songs (or lyrics that make no sense *ahem* WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY??? *ahem*) prove that it's to support the tune, to play along and get into the whole thing. Through the lyrics, we can feel what the composer want to express and the singer's feeling in the song itself.

Personal opinion time, personally I prefer a song a lot better when the singer put his/her soul into it, singing to their heart contempt and reaching the listener's kokoro (doki-doki XD sorry, had to put that into this sentence). This is the main reason why I disprefer dubstep. It's too........mechanic. Most are done through automatic needs, sorted out to produce a sequence of repeating blast that is harder to interpret (if there are any to interpret). And also, I've found myself being fond of Youtube covers of some songs whenever the original singer display less enthusiasm in such songs. For example, the song Radioactive (to those who actually like the original of this song, please don't kill me, here I'll give you the awesome cover of it instead).

In fact, I found nothing to hate about the song The Fox because the singer, eventhough how stoned high he was when writing and singing the song, put his passion into it, reaching deep into the feels and pulling out the sincerest of voice. Songs are rather a story, put in passion by the writer (composer) that created an interesting plot (tune) and then sugar-coated by the passion of the storyteller (singer) and be enjoyed within the less than 5 minutes song.

So perhaps, next time you listen to a song, do pay attention to all of these and you may enjoy a lot more fun in listening to them aye? (Dammit Farid Taqiuddin you side-tracked yet again. I AM MOST DISAPPOINTED IN YOU)

............that is all I guess, ciao

Taqi's Guide To : Happiness

An Innocent Smile, Humanity's Treasure

Assalamualaikum~ (May Peace Be Upon You)

For awhile now I'd been blogging about random topics but I figured if I want to have something fresh to talk about, might as well make it beneficial to others so this special column is produced. Ladies and Gentlemen (and whatever creatures reading this), may I present to you, Taqi's Guide~

Taqi's Guide is where I'll share to you what I had learnt throughout my humble short life living in this world that I found precious. This will be the third official title column after "Life" and "Pain" labels that featured me lamenting about life and "Stories" label where I post my fictions.

Enough of that, lets all talk about happiness. Before I started writing this article, I listened and sing along to a song from BtoB titled I Only Know Love to kick start my good mood.

Don't judge me, they're good

Happiness has always been an enjoyment all living beings desire yet had taken for granted. In the pursuit of materialism, humans had abandoned happiness and in the end, collapse of heart attack due to stress~ (that, or Kira had been pretty busy lately). But for all of those, let us rethink, why do we pursuit money in the first place?

Wise word says : Money can't buy us happiness. Wrong, DEAD wrong. The reason we require money in the first place is to get what we want and escape the hardness of life. In short, we desire ENJOYMENT of life and narrow-minded beings think money can be the bridge to that. Unfortunately during the long path to that goal, they abandoned the joy they already have and are so into their efforts that they forgot why they want it in the first place. Don't be a Scrooge, it's not money you truly want, be a Bill Gates and use what you have to enjoy.

So I know that not everyone can achieve that and I can feel some are burdened by the long path to arrive in that destination. Well actually,  the same principle can be used to normal people too. But instead of money, enjoy even the simplest thing and enjoy what you're doing.

A successful guy is not the guy who gets what he wants. It's the guy who enjoy what he has. For example, we can see lots of people stressing over their job and wishing to go back home and relax eventhough it's the dream job they had wanted all along. This is because they lost the enjoyment of doing what they want.

In my theory, it's the same as this situation : a boy's favourite food is pudding and his beloved mother decided to flood him with puddings for his birthday. So the boy eats and eats and eats with contempt and what happens, you ask? After merely 1/10 of the year-supple of puddings (okay, maybe I over exaggerate here but yeah~) eaten, he puked! The poor boy can eat no more and vowed to never even get close to puddings ever again. But, the clever mother knows better, after leaving out pudding in the menu for the boy for about a month, she surprised him with a cup of pudding for dinner and amazingly the boy ate it  with such gluttony that the pudding disappeared almost immediately! Flushed into his stomach and the boy gave a satisfying smile.

"Mom, I love pudding."

Inside joke, only Rider fans understand this XD
The simple explanation is there is such thing as too much good thing. Normal dose of things you like might turn it from "wow" to "meh". You'll forget the reason why you enjoy it in the first place and it seems bland now and might even be stressful if viewed the wrong way (the boy, for example, is burdened to finish all the puddings so his mother won't burn him alive for wasting). Always keep hold of why you enjoy such things. Why you enjoy walking? Why you enjoy breathing? With such mind thinking, you may continue enjoying such things and accept the burden brought by it as something you have to pay to enjoy such a bliss.

So, I apologise for the long lecture, I still have to improve my blogging skill and simplify what I desire to write so people will enjoy it more instead of getting bored and even burdened by the "overdose" of letters.

Taqi's Guide to : Happiness

1) Appreciate the little things

2) Enjoy what you're doing, perhaps turn up the volume and listen to songs while doing it.

3) Take a break here and there, there is such thing as too much of something.

4) Learn to find a great way to release stress. I, for example, do so by writing, working and singing out loud while listening to light songs. Be careful of your selection of songs though, emo songs like Welcome to My Life might worsen the situation :TrueStory:

5) Smile ^_^
